June 19, 1951 retired Married 2
Hello everyone - looking forward to this milestone reunion.  Hats off to all the workers.
I can't say my life has been that exciting but I wouldn't trade with anyone.
I met my husband, Doug, when he was a pt. on my med/surg floor.  He was trouble for sure - I stayed my distance.  Two weeks after our 1st date we were engaged.  Celebrated 35 yrs. of marriage this summer.  Who'd have guessed.
We've been blessed with 2 wonderful daughters and the gray hair that accompanied seeing them to adulthood.  They opened the doors wide and exposed us to things I couldn't even imagine.
Lia (Chris) Ricci-Sons is 33.  She started out as a vocal music major; graduated with degrees from BGSU; ran non-profits; was exec. dir. of the UCF in BG & now has a holistic health practise " Asherah's Garden" in BG.
Cara (Brian) Ricci-Challen is 31.  Her degrees are from Johnson & Wales U., Providence, RI.
She presently is the chef at Premier Catering, Perrysburg,OH.  She & Brian also are the parents of our only grandchild, Milo, who will soon be 4.  We babysit a few days each week.
Doug retired from Davis Besse as supervisor of operations, 6 1/2 years ago. Retirement has been great.
We enjoy travel.  My favorite places are the Bruce Peninsula, Ontario,CAN & Sanibel Is., FL.
Hobbies include an addiction to genealogy and photography.
Doug & I continue to volunteer at the Schedel Arboretum & Gardens in Elmore, OH.  We're also active with our church family, St. Paul UCC.
I don't see us moving anytime soon, unless of course Doug finally talks me into living on a sailboat - don't think so, but then you never know.

Lawyer Single
Believe it or not I'm a Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Maumee.  My favorite way to get rid of the stress is a good game of golf with my buddies, Steve Duket & Jeff Thompson.  Still single and crazy.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

January 06, 1951 Retired Married 4
After leaving the Marine Corps in 1972, my wife (at that time) and I moved to her home town of Huntington Beach California where I lived and worked in the automobile business until I returned to Ohio in 1985. When I returned I was single and the very first night out on the town, I met my present wife and we have been together ever since. I have two grown children from my days out west and raised two boys with my present wife. We now have 3 fantastic grand children. Tired of the auto business, I drove Semi-tractor trailer here in Ohio until 2003 where after my 5th back surgery, I was told to find another profession that is a little easier on the back so I returned to the automobile business here in Ohio and Michigan. Even that type of work became too problematic, regarding my back, so I retired in 2008. We were members of Ottawa River Yacht Club for many years until we sold our boat in 2008 and have been Harley Davidson fanatics for many years now also. We still have our 05 Road King and have logged many thousands of miles over the years, cruising the country on our bikes. Whereas we won't be attending the reunion this year, it's good to see all of your faces again and know that everyone seems to have done well for themselves and their families and became the good people I always thought you would be. Health permitting, maybe we can get together in the future. Have fun at the reunion and be well Amigo's. Send Scott a MessageSend Scott a Message

Dr. Scott Pinball www.pinballstore.com Married 1
Never left Maumee. Still married to Sue (White) class of '71.  Turned my hobby of pinball into a business; Dr. Scott Pinball Store.  It is located on Conant St., across from Meijer, the old Lighthouse Pools building (to date myself, its the old Pizza Inn next to the drive-in).  Consider yourself invited to stop in and say hi! I'm usually there late afternoons, 7 days a week.

Our son Chad graduated from MHS in 2006 and is currently residing in Florida.

After graduation, I went to TU as a business major and I enjoyed taking Theatre classes. I was involved in a production of the rock opera TOMMY. I loved the music. My sophmore year I had a theatre scholarship. My junior year I transfered to Kent State where I could major in advertising and minor in technical theatre. There was a pinball machine in the student union where you could give it the 'fonzy touch' and get free games. Pretty soon I was spending a lot of time playing pinball. When they took that game away (it was a Gottlieb Sheriff) and I had to pay to play, I knew I was hooked. I graduated with a BS in Advertising.

I started as a copywriter at LaSalle*s. A few years later worked for Hickory Farms of Ohio as Media Director for the in-house advertising agency, Dick Ransom sold the business and new owners came in and said, "...you have an in-house advertising agency, how can we impress the franchisees?...thank you for the past 5 years, good-bye."  From there I went to WTOL-TV as Creative Services Director producing TV commercials. I was let go during the recession of '82. Went to an arcade school to learn how to repair video games and electronic pinball. Landed a job at Tex Critter's Pizza Jamboree as head tech. Cool! (Bill Delaney and Dave Forney were management.) My parents were upset with me after sending me to college to end up working in an arcade. Channel 24 asked me if I wanted to be their Promotion manager and I jumped at the chance. Tex Critter's closed a few months later due to a cash flow problem. I enjoyed working at TV-24, but the station was sold and I was there during the WDHO to WNWO transition and turned in my resignation the same week as the program director and news director. I landed a job as Media Director at an advertising agency in Maumee, the Stahl Associates. Pepsi was our biggest account. A few years later, RKO bottlers was sold, new owners came in and said "...you have an adverising agency, we could save money if we have an in-house agency, thank you for the past 5 years, good-bye."

Mid life crisis! I go back to school, get an associates degree in electronics. Took a "how to start a small business" class at Penta, wrote a business plan, got a loan and started my pinball store in 1993. I'm not making any money, but, I'm having a wonderful time doing what I love to do.

My other passion is playing "Dr. Scott" in shadow casts of Rocky Horror Picture Show. That is where the whole "Dr. Scott" thing comes from. It started in 1995 when the Maumee Indoor used to show the movie at midnight on the weekends. Since then I have over 500 performances in my fishnets. Played in over 40 different venues from NYC to LA and been to several national conventions.

I also enjoy rollerblading with my boxer "Cocoa"

Retired from Delta Air Lines after 36 years in 2005.  Still married to the same great girl, Barbara, 36 years this year.  We have 2 children and 3 great grandkids.  We live on a golf course in Florida and love it, except hurricanes.  We enjoy traveling, motorcycles, golf and our favorite spot, Las Vegas.  I am the bionic man with two total hip replacements.  Enjoyed riding my motorcycle to the 40th reunion.  God willing, I may try it for the next reunion.  Going home I had to travel 600 miles in the rain. Retired Married 2

First off, I am the Thomas “K” Smith, not the Thomas “I” Smith that roamed the halls of MHS.

After graduating from MHS I attended OSU, majoring in Sociology/Criminology.  Somewhere along the line, I changed my first name to “Tavit” (my Armenian grandfather’s name).  I got tired of the “Tom”.   (Too many "Tom" Smiths). Anyway… to continue…

I met my wife of 31 years, Lynn, at a party.  I knew she was the one as soon as she walked into the room.  Given a little bit of time,
we had two children.  We had lived in  Rhode Island, but after putting up with gray days for years, we had one particularly bad winter (two or three months without sun) after which I told my wife that we needed to move south.  My daughter had been looking at colleges in Florida and while she was visiting classes, we discovered Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach and fell in love with the area.  Lynn has found a few speech clients down here  (she is a speech-language therapist) and I am retired.   After receiving a degree in Early Childhood Education, my daughter is now a Montessori teacher in Florida.  My son graduated from a four year video game programming college in Seattle Washington, and is now a video game programmer living in NYC.   I can often be found browsing old bookstores looking for books on ancient history, comparative religion, and philosophy; while watching life flow on.   Looking confused.  Oh... and after deciding that I was never going to be the guitar god I always wanted to be, I now play the ukulele (and love it).
